Festival city sounds

Welcome!
Every spring and summer, Barcelona beats to a special musical pulse, transforming into a festival city like no other as it plays host to celebrated Spanish and international artists and DJs. In this newsletter we highlight two principal festivals, including one staged directly in front of Antares.
As the highest luxury residential building in Barcelona with 30 floors, residents at Antares also have a front row seat to some exquisite views. Barcelona is famously caught between the mountains and the sea and from our featured property this week, residents can see both as well as the city itself. Antares truly offers a home in Barcelona where “sea meets sky”.
If you’re planning a trip to Barcelona this summer, we would be delighted to give you a tour of Antares and let you experience first hand its unique and wondrous views.
We look forward to welcoming you.

Festival city sounds
Primavera Sound at the end of May (29th May to 4th June) is one of Europe’s largest music festivals with a wide mix of styles. Names performing this year include Rosalía, Calvin Harris, Blur, Depeche Mode and Kendrick Lamar and the venue, the Parc del Fòrum, is directly opposite Antares.
Celebrating its 30th anniversary this year, Sonar (15th-17th June) has become one of the world’s leading electronic festivals held across two separate venues. Sonar by Day is in Plaça España while Sonar by Night is on the city outskirts at Fira Grand Via. Primavera and Sonar are perhaps the two best known events, but Barcelona also hosts festivals celebrating jazz, rock and flamenco.

Barcelona’s most visited
Gaudi dominates Barcelona’s top five most visited tourist sites with his magnificent Sagrada Familia in pole position, welcoming around 4.5 million visitors each year. Parc Güell, another Gaudi creation and UNESCO World Heritage Site, is in second place with Gaudi’s Casa Batló and La Pedrera, in fourth and fifth place respectively. The outlier on the list, in third place, is Camp Nou, FC Barcelona’s stadium, the largest in Europe with a capacity of 99,350 where extensive renovations are due to start this summer.
