Odile Decq announces completion of Antares Tower in Barcelona
Odile Decq’S first residential development in Barcelona
World-renowned French architect Odile Decq has announced the completion of the much anticipated Antares Barcelona. Marking her first residential development in the Spanish city, the unique structure stands out against the skyline, thanks to its dramatic aesthetics. The bold tower contains 89 residences, each with sweeping terraces, sea views, and access to resort-style amenities.
Setting a new benchmark for luxury living, the exterior architecture and interiors were all designed by Decq, who created a truly innovative building. Scroll to see unreleased photos that show the project is complete, along with other images that give an overview of the project, including 3 show flats and the restaurant located in the base called Grand Café Rouge.
Generous living spaces with resort-style amenities
Located on the edge of the Mediterranean Sea with views over the surrounding Catalan Mountains, Antares is located at 1 Plaça de Llevant at the beginning of Diagonal Avenue, steps away from The Museu Blau. In addition to generous private living space, the building also offers residents a suite of resort style amenities, including a 1,000 square meter (10,764 sqf) wellness center with landscaped spaces and rooftop infinity pool.
At the base of the condominium is the brand-new public restaurant Le Grand Café Rouge. Odile collaborated on the design with Chef Romain Fornell, who garnered his first Michelin star at the age of 24, being the youngest chef to obtain this distinction. Chef Romain in the last 15-years has opened 13 restaurants in Barcelona. The menu is based on Mediterranean gastronomy that revisits the classics of French cuisine in a contemporary atmosphere.
To me, I call it ‘Global Design’, the interior finishes are in total concert with the spirit of the building. I designed everything from the architecture to the kitchen islands to the lacquered doors and brass door handles.’
