Barcelona’s food scene
Welcome!
Barcelona’s food scene, world famous for its innovation and quality, received further recognition this month when Disfrutar was voted the best restaurant in Europe and the second best globally. The World’s Best 50 Restaurants is an annual list compiled by over 1,000 culinary experts that describes itself as “a barometer for gastric global trends”.
Disfrutar – it translates as “Enjoy” – is helmed by three chefs who worked with legendary Ferran Adrià at El Bulli and has already claimed two Michelin stars. This latest recognition is yet another reason to visit Barcelona. Should you need further persuasion, we suggest some other summer activities below and do remember to book in a tour of Antares while you are here.
Best wishes
The Antares team
An architectural tour
Historically, Gaudi’s colourful Modernisme and Barcelona are forever entwined but other stellar names have now entered the hall of fame, keeping the city a magnet for architectural and art connoisseurs: Jean Nouvel, Miles van de Rohe, Herzog & de Meuron, Frank Gehry and of course our own Odile Decq, the award-winning architect behind Antares. An architectural tour is an excellent introduction to the variety, old and new. Barcelona Architecture Walks are a series of walks accompanied by an architect through its design masters.
