At 30 storeys and 100 metres, Antares Barcelona is the highest residential building in the city and boasts some of its best viewpoints. No other building of its kind has been given planning permission, so it’s not just the residences that are unique but their views too.
Upper-floor apartments include the penthouse on the 26th storey with double-height ceilings allowing expansive wrap-around windows that merge your living space with the sky and sea. One hundred metres above the cityscape, this is Barcelona’s highest open roof terrace offering resident-only access to spectacular 360º views. The perfect place to soak up the sun and watch the ever-changing sea. Decorated in Antares Barcelona’s signature vibrant red with natural wood decking and panelling that doubles as a living green wall for colourful flowering plants, the terrace is a destination in itself.
The roof space is dominated by the stunning L-shaped, 40m infinity pool, where you can lounge all day, revelling in the privilege of having these facilities and those views all to yourself. Can’t bear to leave your spot on the sun lounger? Just make a call to Le Grand Café Rouge on the ground floor to have drinks and snacks sent up to you. Future plans for the Sky Terrace include open-air movie nights and a pop-up bar. With such amazing facilities and the city at your feet, summer surely can’t come fast enough at Antares Barcelona.

Ohla Chillout Terrace
If you love the food at Antares Barcelona’s Le Grande Café Rouge, check out Michelin-starred chef Roman Fornell’s other venue, Caelis, at the Ohla hotel. While you’re there, take some time to soak up the atmosphere of the hotel’s Chillout Terrace, which offers a stylish setting to take in the city’s stunning views.
The Montjuïc cable car
It’s a steep hike on foot but an easy ascent via cable car to Montjuic’s castle, a former fortress set on the peak of a wooded mountain overlooking the city and its port. Many visitors prefer the views from the cable car windows, which give travellers highline views of the Mediterranean, Bunkers Del Carmen and Mount Tibidabo.
Casa Mila
It’s not the views from but views of iconic Casa Mila that visitors to Barcelona crave. One of the must-visit sights in Barcelona and one of the artist Gaudi’s architectural masterpieces, Casa Mila, also known as La Pedrera, is best known for its undulating façade and incredible sculptural rooftop “Warrior” chimneys. If you can look away for a minute, you’ll also have fabulous views of the surrounding city streets.
La Dolce Vitae at the Majestic Hotel
Voted one of Time Out’s top Barcelona rooftop bars for its elegant looks, great food and chill vibe. The 10th-floor bar’s unrivalled views include a direct outlook to La Sagrada Familia, Casa Batllo and the peak of Montjuic.
Park Guell
Iconic Park Guell, designed by the artist Gaudi, is one of Barcelona’s most popular attractions. Its high location offers some of the best and most photographed views of the city. Though not panoramic, the setting is a magical backdrop to the views, with Gaudi’s signature curving tiled walls, fairytale-like buildings surrounded by woodland.
